Fleas can cause anaemia, allergic skin disease, and they transmit tapeworm. You can't get fleas from a dog or cat - they may bite but won't stay.

These don't work:

Flea collars, flea powders, flea shampoos, flea aerosol sprays, electronic flea
killers, flea combs, garlic products, pet shop flea products.

Eggs fall off the dog, hatch to larvae, undergo 3 moults, eventually pupate into adult flea.
